World Postcard Day
1 October is World Postcard Day and we’re particularly excited by this year’s theme: WISH YOU HERE. Not only did Pink Floyd form at the University of Westminster (then the Regent Street Polytechnic), but we have some pretty compelling evidence that they rehearsed in the Soho Poly basement!
Postcards are also going to a theme of our GO TO / Soho Poly activities throughout the autumn. To celebrate, we invite you to send us a postcard from wherever you are in the world.
Tell us what you’re up to, or maybe share a memory – a place that means something to you, the best gig of your life, the best book you’ve ever read. Over the course of the next few months we’re going to be transforming the postcards we receive into poetry, zines and badges – all part of a project to explore real (not digital) THINGS and the way that physical acts of making and creativity enrich our lives.
So, start by sending us a postcard, and follow up by coming to our unfolding programme of events this autumn!
